I was really looking forward to this short story, but was disappointed from the first page. The words are misspelled and misused. It got very distracting, trying to figure out what the author was trying to say. While the story could have been very interesting, it just...wasn't. The author kept telling us how indecisive he was during the hunt. What he should have been was more descriptive in his narrative, while paying attention to his grammatical errors.Product details

Great fun book but a little short I think. Its the kind of book I can read all day whilst waiting fit my hawk to return to flying weight it sure gets the juices flowing
This is a great short story about a not so typical day of falconry with a Master Falconer and his apprentice.
Fun stories about a day out hawking! The descriptive writing really brings to life the excitement and devotion to the sport of falconry.
Great Short Story about 1 days hunt. My only disappointment was it wasn’t longer. Another good read for anyone wanting to find out what falconry truely is about
This is a wonderfully written story on the fun and humorous events that often occur while squirrel and duck hawking. While reading it I found myself able to picture all the events unfold as if I had an actual memory of the exact situation. Mr. Filkins describes an unforgettable day of hawking where a bird gets her first "hat trick" of squirrels and some Harris hawks get a chance to fly at a couple of ducks causing both of the handlers to get completely soaked TRYING to assist. Very good story. I would definitely recommend it to anyone interested in falconry, any bird-lover, or anyone just interested in a good action-packed story.
Poorly written with an abundance of typos and grammatical errors. This would have been better placed in the falconer's state club newsletter. At that level, it would have been fine.
